Feedback
I read an article titled "How to Give Feedback Without Sounding Like a Jerk." I picked this article because I have never given feedback, and I wanted to know how to do so before I ever needed to. I think it is refreshing being told that giving feedback honestly and directly is the best method. Not having to hide your criticism in compliments seems far better. I am glad that you do not need to trick someone into receiving feedback.
I also read "The Difference Between Praise and Feedback." This article was more oriented towards talking to children about feedback. It echoes some sentiment that I had heard before. It basically says that praising process instead of results will reinforce a child's ability to work hard and complete tasks requiring high effort. If you praise a child for the thing they did and do not mention anything about how hard they worked will lead to bad things.
